SummerScape 2009 invites you to dance (with us!) to a Louisiana beat on closing night with the Red Stick Ramblers, a quintet hailing from Baton Rouge. The Ramblers play a diverse blend of Cajun, Creole, zydeco, western swing, blues, and jazz. The common thread: it's all dance music. "Three-hour dances aren't uncommon where we come from," says fiddler Linzay Young. "We're here to please the dancers--it's less like a performance and more like a party."
