SPIEGELTENT

Imported from Belgium, the Spiegeltent brings a bit of Old World charm, fun, and craftsmanship to SummerScape’s world. The Spiegeltent is a hand-hewn pavilion lined with mirrors, built around a theater-in-the-round. The Fisher Center’s Spiegeltent is a venue for nightly cabaret, afternoon family events, fine dining, and more.
This year SummerScape offers a special treat by bringing SpiegelMaster Ken Roht and his Orphean Circus to take charge of the festivities. Called “a demented blend of lowbudget Ziegfeld Follies and an earth-bound Cirque du Soleil,” the Orphean Circus is a surreal music/dance theater, a colorful pageant of costumed performers with a dash of the German expressionist avant-garde. Roht, a beloved performer in Los Angeles and around the country, is highly acclaimed for his enticing blend of art and spectacle.

With its ballooning velvet canopies, ornate bars, teak dance floors, and intimate booths that all offer equal access to the action, the Spiegeltent is an unforgettable total experience. Marlene Dietrich sang “Falling in Love Again” on a famous Spiegeltent stage in the 1930s—leave it to SummerScape to be the first to offer this fabled experience in America!
Along with sensational cabaret, musical, and late-night performances, the Spiegeltent offers perfect casual summer fare featuring the best of what the Hudson Valley has to offer. From burgers made of locally raised beef to specialty entrees, salads, desserts, and libations from the finest regional farms, vineyards, and breweries, the fare at the Spiegeltent is sure to please all palates. Seating will be available indoors and out.
