Musty Chiffon
Very few drag queens sing live. Musty Chiffon is one of them, incorporating 1960s psychedelic classics and some current rock hits into a curious camp repertoire. From 1977 to 1982 Musty toured the world as part of the legendary Boston-based band Human Sexual Response. Now based in Hudson, New York, she is a published singer-songwriter, actor, comedian, and photographer.
and
Mother Fletcher
Sharing the bill with Musty on July 30 is Mother Fletcher, a six-piece ska, reggae, and dub-style band. Like Musty, they hail from Hudson, where they’re well known to the regulars at Jason’s Upstairs. They’ll follow Musty with a set of their own very danceable music — and then Musty will join them on stage for an encore.
