From the depths of Nairobi’s Kwa Maji slum, DJ Lwanda’s voice rings out daily on the local radio station. His leadership and vision are the community’s lifeblood. Anna Mali, an avaricious real estate diva, has her eye on the land that the slum occupies. She seduces Lwanda with a job at a top nationwide radio station. In his absence, she organizes a campaign of violence to terrorize the people of Kwa Maji, and corrupts government officials. With no one to unite them, the community begins to tear apart, and the bloodletting makes national news. DJ Lwanda must return to his home—but at what cost?
