Evening Cabaret: Kim Smith

Notice for patrons planning to attend August 6 performances at the Fisher Center and Spiegeltent:

Please note that there are several performances taking place at the Fisher Center on the evening of August 6. We expect a high volume of traffic in our parking lots. Please arrive early enough to find parking and make your way to the theater — we suggest that you allow at least 30 minutes.

Note for patrons driving NORTH from Rhinebeck on Route 9G:
Please disregard the detour signs — stay on Route 9G until you reach the Bard campus. The detour does not take effect until close to Germantown.

Note for patrons driving SOUTH from Hudson on Route 9G:
Please follow the detour signs — drive south on Route 9 until you reach the main traffic light in Red Hook, at Route 199. Turn right on Route 199. Turn right at traffic light to go north on Route 9G. Follow signs to the Fisher Center.

Singing in English, German, and French, Australian vocalist Kim Smith reinterprets the works of composers and songwriters from Weill to the Supremes, and Harold Arlen to the Divinyls. In true cabaret style, he casts a spell over his audience with what he calls his “glittering parade of dreams, illusions, and little white lies.”
