Red Hook Public Library Presents a Musical Celebration of the 1920s
Freedom and Imagination in the Jazz Age
May 15, 2010
May 15, 2010
General admission: $10
Seniors and students: $5
Soprano Christine Clemmons McCune, baritone John Cimino, and pianist Jon Klibonoff perform music from the 1920s. Favorites such as Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue" and Duke Ellington’s "Freedom Suite" as well as songs from Show Boat, Of Thee I Sing, and Lady Be Good blend with American spirituals, ballads, and art songs into a lively narrative tale of the time.
This event is a benefit for the Red Hook Public Library.
