Launching the Catskill Jazz Factory’s Harlem on the Hudson series is the Trinidadian trumpet player Etienne Charles, “a daring improviser who delivers with heart-wrenching lyricism” (Jazz Times), bringing a night of rhythm, groove, and soul! Charles’s Creole Soul project, which received international acclaim on the iTunes, Jazzweek and Billboard jazz charts, explores the musical connections between Afro-Caribbean, Creole, New Orleans, and American traditions.
