Featuring Andy Monk
August 1–2
Buckle up! Jackie Cox and Jan Sport are back and hitting the road in Jackie & Jan’s Joyride!—a high-octane, laugh-out-loud, musical follow-up to their fabulous hit shows Gaycation and Jingle Jam! If Barb & Star met Romy & Michele in their last getaway, this time it’s Thelma & Louise (but way gayer… and with a lot more sequins).
After their unforgettable Gaycation, these two NYC queens are trading in tropical beaches for highway hijinks as they embark on the ultimate drag road trip. But with Jackie behind the wheel and Jan navigating (or trying to), this joyride is bound to be anything but smooth! Along the way, they’ll run into unexpected detours, boy trouble, and the occasional run-in with the law (glitter-related offenses only, of course).
Filled with show-stopping songs, hilarious antics, and campy chaos, Jackie & Jan’s Joyride! is a musical comedy road trip like no other. So grab your snacks, gas up the car, and get ready for a nonstop ride of fun, friendship, and fabulousness—because when these two queens hit the highway, anything can happen!
This event contains adult language.
Jackie Cox and Jan Sport are internationally-acclaimed drag queens who rose to fame as contestants on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Hailing from the vibrant drag scene of New York City, these queens, friends, and colleagues have captivated audiences with their performances, comedy, and singing prowess, and have toured together with their hit cabaret shows—Jackie & Jan’s Jingle Jam and Jackie & Jan’s Joyride.
Known for her incredible vocals, Jan Sport (who also sells her own line of backpacks!) has performed to standing ovations in theaters and stadiums across the country and even had a shoe thrown at her by Jennifer Hudson (which is a very good thing!) She also recently completed her run in the award-winning Drag: The Musical. And no stranger to the stage herself, Jackie Cox recently starred in the Off-Broadway one-person play Make Me Gorgeous!, which garnered 2024 Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk nominations in addition to her regular appearances on Days of Our Lives and Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live for her impersonation of Depends undergarment spokeswoman and real housewife, Lisa Rinna. @janjanjan @jackiecoxnyc
Andy Monk has somehow spun inadequate coping mechanisms gained through a lifetime of mild inconveniences into comedy bronze. Andy grew up in New York City where he first began developing the kind of deep neurosis and hypervigilance that you just can’t find anywhere else. He moved to Kingston in 2015, and misses soup dumplings terribly. Andy started doing comedy as his drag alter-ego Sis Jenner, but after taking Lauren Kincheloe’s standup class, realized that doing standup as a man saves countless hours putting on makeup and is just as embarrassing. Andy also plans and hosts events around the Hudson Valley including The Audacity, the afterparties at the Spiegeltent at Bard’s Fisher Center, and Queer Conspiracy parties like Sheaster. Most importantly, Andy is kind of a bitch.
Grab a bite and a drink while you’re at the Fisher Center! We offer theater concessions at Sosnoff theater, LUMA theater, and Olin Hall. Across the way, is the al fresco Spiegeltent Garden—or grab a nosh while seeing a Spiegeltent Performance. There is ample space for outdoor picnics across Bard’s campus. Nearby villages and towns in the Hudson Valley boast a large selection of restaurants, as well as a variety of hotels, motels, inns, and bed & breakfasts.
