Romano Drom dispels the image of the ubiquitous fiddle and cimbalom players found in every second restaurant in Budapest. The band offers a muscular barrage of imapssioned singing, backed by driving rhythms on guitar, violin, accordion, and percussion. The music is steeped in the Romany traditions that inspired Liszt to compose folk melodies such as his Hungarian Rhapsodies. SpiegelPalais June 29 – Gala Opening – 9:30PM
