In their delightfully original work, SAL Directors Deirdre Lowry and Patrick Brown launch a stylistic assimilation of step work and choreography, embodying greater flexibility of movement and rhythmic pattern inside and outside the technical structure of traditional Irish Dance. This unique synthesis is distinctly American and unequivocally characteristic of Solas An Lae in its integration of cultural and classical concepts in dance.

Solas An Lae’s productions beguile the senses with striking video and abstract montages, and a musical score that seamlessly interweaves diverse musical genres, including world grooves, classical, jazz and contemporary Celtic. Uncompromisingly innovative, Solas An Lae transforms this versatile cultural dance form into a performance of exquisite beauty, power and imagination, captivating lovers of dance and delivering a memorable theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.
