The Hungry March Band is a 20-member marching brass band with an amazingly eclectic repertoire, playing music from New Orleans to New Delhi. Voted “Best Anarchist Parade Group” by the Village Voice, the band plays Indian bhangra, Latin mambos, Jamaican ska, traditional Crescent City street jazz, and even klezmer and Gypsy music. Its gigs have literally covered the waterfront, from Lincoln Center Out of Doors to the Coney Island Mermaid Day Parade.
