William Schumann: Symphony No. 2
Associate Conductor James Bagwell leads The Orchestra Now in Gershwin’s rhapsodic and bluesy tone poem An American in Paris. Also on the program: Jennifer Higdon’s blue cathedral, a commemoration for her late brother that is both exuberant and ethereal, and Schumann’s rebellious and optimistic Symphony No. 2.
The concert will run approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes including one 20-minute intermission.
