1936, directed by William Wyler
A “second honeymoon” in Europe turns bittersweet for just-retired Midwest industrialist Sam Dodsworth (Walter Huston) and his wife, Fran, when she tries to stay young with a frivolous crowd, especially a debonair baron. Aggrieved, Huston meets Edith (Mary Astor), a woman of substance, who restores his zest for life. Based on the novel by Sinclair Lewis.
