everything is true was created as the culmination of Pam Tanowitz’s Research Fellowship at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts in 2020. Tanowitz used her fellowship for the research and development of her upcoming premiere, Song of Songs, focusing on the origins, customs, and steps of Jewish folk dance and how they relate to her own Jewish lineage.
